Modern Tools
What once took 100 people now only takes one, thanks to the internet. Marvels of innovation like the micro-processor, the smart phone, the internet-of-things (IOT), QR codes, and artificial intelligence (AI) have led us into a new age of advertising. Here, anything is possible and many once-critical roles are rendered redundant.
Google, Facebook, and Tik Tok offer self-service ad platforms that automate the buying, placement, and optimization of digital ad campaigns, making the process more efficient and effective. Newish digital tools like SquareSpace, MailChimp, and Google Analytics make it easier for small teams on small budgets to execute world class marketing campaigns. By leveraging modern tools, any brand can target specific audiences with precision and deliver personalized messages at scale.
Classical Thinking
Even though the industry has been turned upside down, advertising is still about connecting brands with consumers. It might be through a billboard or a promoted Instagram post, on any medium, brands have to find a way to tell people about their product or service. In some ways this has become easier. In other ways, my clients face the same challenge of reaching the right people with a message their customers stop and think about.
It took over 10 years working and learning in the industry for me to realize that I have always been an advertiser. And I tap into this lifetime of experience to help my clients mark sense of their marketing.
